As the first step to organize every team's reasearch task, you (everyone) must contribute by saying what information you'd like to have about each of the proposed topics.

What would you like to know about each of the following?
  1. The University of Dayton.
  2. Dayton, Ohio: Places to Visit.
  3. Dayton, Ohio: Dining and Shopping. 
  4. Nearby places to visit.
  5. Tips to prepare for the trip and summer course.

Please visit the UDP's talkgroup for English Teachers in voxopop, and make suggestions for each of the topics by Wednesday XX at the latest. Remember you'll need to have a microphone to participate.

Una actividad que me ha gustado mucho hacer con los estudiantes es la de construir relatos colectivamente. Dependiendo de la oración que se proponga como principio de la historia, se puede inducir a utilizar ciertos tiempos verbales o construcciones lingüísticas.

Aunque se puede armar incluso usando sólo simple present y present continuous, funciona mejor a partir de que los estudiantes conocen el simple past. Además, entre más rico sea su vocabulario más rica es la historia también. Así que creo que puede usarse desde finales del nivel A2.


Claro que la actividad tradicionalmente se hacía por escrito, y aunque antes no era materialmente imposible grabarla, ahora es un millón de veces más fácil gracias a herramientas como voxopop o voicethread. (Por cierto, que me acabo de dar cuenta que mis actividades propuestas para estos recursos son muy parecidas.  Veré si logro agregar una distinta...)
